The scene opens back up at the camp. Boarlo is still tied up, and the party is trying to figure out what to do next.

Vodren decides to see Galera in person at this point. Once he goes back into town, he is stopped by Lord Alaban's Blue Cloak. Alaban asks Vodren what's going on, and he tells him about their predicament with Volro's curse. He is understanding and willing to provide aid if Galrea is still cold to them. However Volro is not allowed into town until he's cured.

He reaches Galera's home and sees her on the beach, scrying in the fire. Vodren, using his own magic, helps produce an image of a turtle appearing and being overtaken by a blue Phoenix. He talks with her and tells her what he's learned about himself from the encounter with the Wereboar. He also says he will take his rightful position at the harvest festival the next day. She agrees to help them with their predicament with Vorlo, depending on Vodren's performance at the festival.

Vodren returns to the group with the information. With nothing more to do about the situation, the party splits up for the night. Vodren and Ace stay with Vorlo, Ryai, Konguq, and Bron, returning to the Stuffed Hen.

Bron tells the spellcasters to walk ahead of him and proceeds to swing back to the camp and question Ace about his past, Asking him why he's heard his name in cell blocks around him.

The two walk away from the camp, and Ace tells Bron that back in Palanthas, he pulled off a heist and stole a crown. When Bron asked where he hid it, Ace had it melted down and sold off. The money he gained from it was given to a home where his friend grew up. Bron notes Ace's inability to talk plainly about the situation, remaining as vague as possible throughout. But he also mentions Ace's penchant to help those who can't help themselves.

The two also reflect on how they ended up in their criminal positions, both losing their birthright to a favored younger brother. While Bron killed his brother, Ace admits the thought has crossed his mind regarding his own. Bron advises that if it ever came to that, to make sure it's for more than the pain he inflicted on Ace.

Bron then asks Ace what he will do on the 12th when he attends the Knights of Solomon Festival. Ace admits he doesn't have one yet, but Bron offers his support in whatever he does.

Ace returns to the camp alone. Vodren notices that despite Ace's confident smile upon returning, he doesn't maintain eye contact with him and seems bothered by something. Vodren doesn't pry into the matter but reminds Ace that he's not alone in this and that the party is willing to help him if need be.

The following day at the Inn, Bron and Konguq talk about their plans for the day. Bron mentions wanting to go out and do recruit work but decides to stay with Vorlo for the day to keep him company. When Ryai wakes up, he asks the two about their plans. Both mentioned the festival, and Ryai decides he's also going after returning the books to Thomas.

When seeing Thomas again, he asks Ryai if he found what he was looking for. Ryai remains vague but tells him he might have found a way into Istar and that Sea Elves might exist very well. Thomas wishes him well, and the two hope to meet again, hopefully with something to show for their travels.

When Vorlo changes back, Ace unties him instantly. Bron reaches the camp again with a keg of ale on his shoulder. Vodren, Ace, and Bron momentarily talk about the day and wake up Vorlo. He awakens, baffled and frightened, but they explain the situation. He understands, and Bron offers to keep him company during the day while the rest attend the Harvest festival.

As they leave, Vorlo confides in Bron how scared he is.

The party goes to the festival and meets Lindvai on the way in. They chat with her about her wares and what she plans to sell. Ryai mentions stopping by later to buy a deck of cards. Caius later meets them. He offered the party to cook some of their favorite foods as a warm welcome and thank you.

Knowing that his favorite will be hard for a farmer to acquire, Ryai requests venison. Konguq asks for brisket while Ace and Vodren ask for Caius’s recommendation.  While that cooks, the party heads off to join the festivities.

They notice a few town members arrive, most notably the Blue Cloak Family. Cyrus drinks with his friends while Alaban mingles with the people.

The party visits the merchant stalls and sees the tattooed woman Vorlo mentioned earlier. Ryai recognizes the tattoos as being from Neraka, where the dragon armies operate. He tells the party, and they hold onto the information for now.

Ryai acquires his deck of cards from Lindvai and tells them she has a route in mind for when they get their ship: going to Southern Ergoth. She also tells them she'll handle their money while on the ship.

The party returns to Caius's home, and he serves them their meals, the surprise meal being Baba Ghanoush. While they eat, Vodren preps for his sermon and is given proper vestments to preach in.

The party returns to the main stage, where the skull of the wereboar is displayed. Vodren goes behind the scenes to prep with Alaban. Ace and Konguq stand to the side of the crowd while Ryai gets lost in it, listening to the music. After Alaban spoke and updated the people on what was going on in Crossing, Vodren took the stage. He locks eyes with Galera in the back and gives his sermon. While preaching, he notices that Rosewood is not among the crowd.

The crowd eats up his sermon and sends the group into a fervor. Galera and Vodren spend the rest of the evening teaching those more interested in the gods.

The band retakes the stage, and Ryai gets swept up in the dancing. He does well for himself, learning the steps and keeping pace with some of the more advanced dancers.

Konguq wanders around until she runs into the tattooed woman again. She learns her name is Vajra and is seen making deals.

Realizing they will not be back in time to fix Vorlo, Ace goes back to check on them. He finds both Bron and Vorlo wasted and that Bron did tell Vorlo about his crime. Vorlo, as penance, tells Ace about how he and his sister drugged Seeker Rowanna so bad they wiped her memory. They all swear to secrecy and honestly laugh.

Ace stays with them until the party with Galera arrives later that evening. She goes to work on the tied-up, knocked-out drunken Boarlo, carving Zebiom's symbol into his hide. Unfortunately, due to Solinari still being full, it doesn't work.

Ryai and Konguq stay with Boarlo that night, while Ace and Bron go to the Stuffed Hen. Vodren goes to keep up the night with Galera. On their way to her home, Cyrus stops them to ask if it worked. They explain that they must wait until Solinari is no longer packed to try again. Cyrus then offers to have one of his men stationed there to help. He sends Morris that night, making Ryai uncomfortable.

After an extremely passionate night, Vodren awakens to leave Galera's home to find Rosewood dead on the beach. He brings her body into her home and scries her body to find the weapon that killed her. A curved blue and silver blade with green flames comes to his mind. Galera doesn't recognize it from the Jackdaws. However, she wants vengeance for Rosewood's death. Vodren goes to the Stuffed Hen to gather the party. He tells them what happened, and Ace and Bron meet with them.

Ryai and Konguq wake up to a normal Vorlo again. They tell him the ritual didn't work, and they must wait. He asks what day it is and reveals that he owes a dangerous person 100 steel pieces. Morris awakens, and they ask him to let the party know they need to meet. Ryai takes off on his own to do his stewardship training with Tellum, unfortunately running late.

The two groups pass each other, and Ace decides not to tell Ryai about Rosewood's death.

Ace, Bron, Vodren, Vorlo, and Konguq started to discuss their options. Vorlo feels intense guilt over how the events have played out, thinking that because they were watching him, no one could have gone to check on Rosewood. The party assures him that his guilt is unnecessary. That there was ample opportunity for them to check on her. He still urges that they tie him up and just leave him water and rations so they can go and avenge Rosewood. They comply.

Konguq recognizes the blade Vodren described. It is a sword named Blade of the Aurora. Sailors commonly use it, and it requires a lot from its user.

They gather the amount needed to pay off the man that Vorlo owes money to, a man named Garam. Ace recognizes it as the name Brutus gave for the fence.

They split off, Ace going to Blue Cloak's to discuss a matter of importance to him and the rest to pay off Garam. They plan to meet back up at noon at Galera's to cast speak with Dead on Rosewood.
