Party
Ace-human rouge
Ryai-Elf Spellblade
Konguq-human wizard
Vodren-Human Cleric
Bron-Dwarf Fighter
Vorlo- Hobgoblin Apothecary
The party returns to The Dragon's Lance for ship training and thanks to Konguq's help in fixing the ship, the party fairs much better. Ace fairs so well with Cyrus that he invites him out for a night on the town with his crew. Ace takes him up on the offer to have a night off.
Once off the ship, Vodren goes to commune with Habakkuk in preparation for a harvest festival he was invited to be the guest of honor of. Unfortunately, he is too wrapped up in his insecurities to make a connection.
Ryai, still looking for information about the locations of the dragon orbs, goes to the docks to find any other scholars that might have information on Istar. He finds a gentleman named Thomas whom he strikes up a conversation with. Thomas is a solomanic noble who is also avoiding his responsibility as a noble and setting out in the world. Being kindred spirits, he offers for Ryai to borrow some of his collection, provided it's returned on the 9th.
Bron goes looking for potential crew members. It doesn't pan out.
Vorlo goes looking for Brutus. He comes back with a leg injury from a Boar.
Konguq spends time resting to prepare for the ritual at Rumbleguts that night.
Swinging around to that, Ryai and Konguq meet at the beach that night to go to the stones. On the way there, Ryai asks why Konguq left home. When asked, she replies that her tribe had been without a wizard for so long that she needed to go so they were no longer isolated from the others. When Ryai asked when she realized how she had awoken to her powers, she recalled a time she was very angry at a mean girl in her village and wished her house would fall down. And it did.
Ryai mentions that his education in magic was a subject of contention between his caregivers in his home. His father wanted his child to learn nothing more about it, while his uncle said it would be a waste if he didn't.
They reach the circle of stones and see Rumblegut standing in a ritual circle at the stones. Ryai, looking not to have chest pains for the rest of the night, removes his stay and reveals to Konguq that he was born a woman.
They proceed with the ritual to transmute the Lacedon. Ryai and Konguq keep up with the chant easily. However, Rumblegut begins to falter. Ryai, receiving a vision of Rumblegut getting his head cut off by the Lacedon, stops the ritual via Moonbeam to the creature. He apologizes, but Rumblegut is aware he lost track of the spell. He goes over what went wrong in his head while Konguq and Ryai spend the night in his cave.
In the morning, Rumblegut returns. He explains that he had grown attached to the Lacedon he had used, and the fear of losing him created a weakness in the spell. While the party is now down the strongest Lacedon, Rumblegut throws himself into the fray to help take over the Jackdaw. The two returned to the Stuffed Hen that morning to tell the party what had happened.
Ace, Konguq, and Bron have retail therapy the morning before the ship lesson. Ace bought fancy boy clothes for the Knights of Solomnia festival on the 12th.
Vorlo makes good progress on recreating Galera's fish tea.
Vodren goes to speak with Caius. Caius finds him, however, and lets Vodren know that the other farmers heard his struggles to commune with Habakkuk and have decided not to pressure him, and he is no longer the guest of honor at the festival.
Ryai hits the books. He starts to have an information overload before stopping and rearranging his whole setup. Letting his fingers guide him instead, he learns exactly what he was looking for—a way into Istar.
What he knows currently
- There are a few accounts of people who wound up on shore after going down in the blood sea
- There is an inlet to that sea where there are records of Dirminesti living (Sea elves) making contact with them is going to be their best bet to get in. While knows a few similar words that might translate well, Konguq knows how actually to speak with them.
- Leaning the spell water breathing is mandatory.
The party meets back at The Dragon's Lance. Ace continues to make friends with Cyrus while the party continues to learn the ship. Vorlo gets hit in the nose. When they get off the ship, the clouds suddenly turn, despite their magic predictions for earlier in the day. Galrea comes down the port, pissed at Vodren. She is angry that he has the demotion from the festival lying down. The two argue, and she ends up calling him pathetic and leaving.
Everyone hits the bar that night. Ryai presents his plans to go after the blue dragon orb once they're settled on the ship. They proceed to talk and get drunk, Vodren passing out. Vorlo goes to step out. Not long after, a commotion is heard outside. Ace investigates and sees a boar run off and a couple confused. Soon, warning bells go off, and Constable Bage starts to gather the guard. Ace runs off towards the commotion.
The party in the Inn struggles with sobering up. Bron slaps Konguq and Ryai in an attempt to sober them up. Konguq succeeds, but Ryai gets the water bucket right after with Vodren. They prep to leave, with Ryai being the first to run, needing little prep.
Ace gets to Caius's house and finds a boar trying to bust down the door. Ace sneaks through the window, helps Caius and his family keep the boar at bay, and sneaks them out the window. When Ryai arrives, he casts Moonbeam on the boar, forcing it to take its true form.
It's Vorlo.
Ryai, in shock, drops the moonbeam, and Vorlo changes back. Ace knocks him out and ties him up. Ace stays behind to wait for the others while they are tipped off that there is another boar ahead. Ryai goes ahead to scout. When he gets there, the boar doesn't notice him. He ducks under a table to prepare to strike when the others arrive.
The others catch up to Ace, and he gives the group the rundown on what occurred. Bron, the only one capable of carrying him, takes Boarlo to the campsite, where they fought the Draconians to keep him safe. The rest go ahead to find the other boar.
They also catch up where Ryai had run off, and the wereboar notices them. He doesn't move from his spot, confident in his abilities to kill them and enjoying his feast.
Ace hides under the same table Ryai is at, noticing Ryai preparing his moonbeam for when the beast appears. Konguq tries to hide behind a nearby outhouse, but the Boar notices her.
Vodren goes to initiate, and the large boarman goes to gore him. Luckily, his birch armor prevents this. Konguq attempts to shrink the wereboar down, but the Boar powers through.
Ace slips out from the table and, taking the silver necklace he won from the bar, wrestles away the large hammer he has from him. With the boar in sight, Ryai unleashes his moonbeam, forcing the man to take his true form. Vodren, with the only silver on his person, proceeds to beat in the wereboar with his holy symbol.
Konguq doubles up on the moonbeam with Ryai, and he starts to get the assault on all sides. He tries to wrangle the hammer away from Ace, but Ace wins and books it away from him with the hammer.
Ryai moves from his spot and slashes at his back, feeling the sting of a blade for the first time

The light of Solinari, however, becomes too much for the wereboar. He goes up in silver flames.
The former wereboar that stood so large and proud before the party was nothing more than a scorched man with the imprint of Habakkuk on his skull.
Vodren goes to help the injured men at the square and manages to save all of them.
With no causalities and the wereboar dead, the guard finally arrives. Constable Bage was impressed with the party and thanked them all personally. To Ace, he tells him he will get right to finding the stolen Long Sword.
The party returns to the campsite to find Bron eating jerky and Boarlo tied up. Whenever Boarlo tries to wake up, Bron knocks him out with his shield. They discuss how to cure them with only one person they know who can, and she's feuding with Vodren.
Vodren tries to contact Galera via spell but gets nowhere. Bron tells him he has to go to her and try to talk it out.
