Before heading out to training that day, Konguq, Bron, and Ryai visit Rosewood at her apartment. She invites them in and is overly friendly to Ryai. Ryai, in the conversation, asks if she can get a running count of the crew to see if they can figure out how many they are up against. Rosewood obliges. When they leave, Bron and Konguq recognize that Rosewood has a crush on the naive elf but decide not to say anything to him.
They return to the ship, and things are going great for Bron and Ryai. And by great, Ryai is getting frustrated with not getting it, and Bron falls off the ship and into the water.
Ryai struggles, unable to turn to his normal comforts after being arrested, and Bron takes off, getting into a small skiff with Vodren.
Vodren wanting to help the two, teams up with Vorlo to try and make something to help their mental states.
Ace and Konguq take Ryai to the Dock Tavern to find out if there is anything new with the Jackdaw Crew. And it turns out they can smell them before they can notice them. They reek of fish and are covered in hives. The group takes a seat where they can watch the crew as they play cards. Rosewood meets the group again and looks like she’s about to vomit from the smell. One of the Jackdaws shouts to the bartender that they will not be at the bar the next night.
Ryai meets Brutus again, who takes pity on his fellow drunk and buys him a pint of ale. Ryai, to pass the time otherwise, sketches out the patrons of the bar, including the tattooed members of the Jackdaw.
This draws the Jackdaw's attention momentarily before Ace gets invited to play a round of cards with the group. He accepts and proceeds to cheat his way through. Another man increases the pot by putting a silver necklace in. Ace adds his bracelet, and they play a final round.
Ace wins, and the crew gives him back what he put in the pot initially and tells him to leave. Not passing on the necklace, Ace manages to steal it right from under their noses.
The group quickly leaves the bar after Ace knicks the necklace and is told never to return. Ace was smiling like a giddy schoolboy the whole time.
Brutus follows them back to the Stuffed Hen and reveals to Ace that he is a part of the local underground scene. In addition, he also gives Ace his info on his fence.
That night they talk about following the lead Bron found earlier about a camp being ransacked by lizardmen. To help with Ryai and Bron's mental state, Vorlo and Vodren offer them the laudenum they made. It genuinely helps Ryai.
It doesn't help Bron.
The party tracks down the Lizardmen camp and discovers it's actually Draconians who took over. The Draconians catch up with the party and begin to taunt the party. Ryai asked what they were doing close to Crossing, and they said they would leave if they knew what was good for them. Ace slips into a tent and hides to get the jump on them while Vodren takes up the rear in the dark. Konguq tries to rely on Bron, but his trip becomes too much, and he flees, leaving her wide open. She is quickly overwhelmed and goes down. Ryai follows up with his sword, and they taunt the young elf about the army’s encroaching assault on his home country. From the tent, Ace attacks and keeps most of the Draconians on the ropes with Vorlo's help. Vodren finishes one by himself while the remaining one slips off into the night.

They returned to Stuffed Hen that night. The next morning, Ace finds that his Longsword was stolen. A note left behind B.W.H
Konguq sets off to modify the Dragonlance ship to help with their lessons that day. There, she meets Cyrus’s friend Morris. He lets her work and is impressed with her way around a ship.
Vodren goes to see Galera again, but she's nowhere to be found.
Ryai and Ace return to Blue Cloak Estate to warn them about the Draconians. Tellum takes Ryai aside to request he spend Gildember 10th with him to learn about the event he's supposed to work on. Ryai also requests information on the status of Qualinost and how the Aedlock Family is doing. He promises to send a request for information
Ace meets with Lord Alaban Blue Cloak and informs him of what the Draconians are planning. He also mentions that his sword was stolen, and Alaban sends the information to Constable Bage so that it can be found.
Lord Blue Cloak then sets out to investigate the campsite the party found the night before
