Party: Ship Dandies

Konguq-Human Wizard Captain

Ace-Human Rouge Quartermaster

Calix- Minotaur Marshal Night Watch and Battle Master

Oliver- Half-elf Bard and Navigation

Calix charges Nimble as soon as the door is open, attempting to pin the kender to the ground. Nimble retaliates by sinking his teeth deep into him, draining him of his blood. Calix however grips tightly to him and keeps him held, not allowing his escape. Oliver, seeing how injured Calix is, rallies the party's spirit making them hardier for a bit and taunts the Kender. Konguq hinders any further attempts for escape by raising stalactites and stalagmites from the earth.

Nimble calls out to Hayner telling him to flee as the party surrounds him. As Ace strikes Nimble with his lighting blade and Nimble’s hat flies off revealing bat ears. Zim grapples and roars in his ears but Nimble shields himself from the assault. Calix holds tight to the kender, goring him with his horns. Ace gives the final blow to his head, neatly slicing it off and holding it.

With Nimble dead Ace slips to where Hayner is hiding, seeing him fully dressed in regal attire with a diadem circlet on his head.  Hayner tries to shut the door on Ace but he slips his sword in between and pushes open and confronts Hayner. He pushes on why he double crossed them and starts to recognize the diadem better. The name Sayyer starts to ring a bell as it means betrayed in Kharolian. It was given to the royal family in southern Kharolis who were betrayed by the Ogres and had their throne stolen from them. For five generations a member of the royal family bore the name Sayyer until they could reclaim the throne. This was Sayyer’s time to rise and take back what was rightfully his.

Ace refuses to step down and Sayyer touches the Diadem, causing it to glow. He says in Kharolian that it was time to act. Screams can be heard coming from around them as a large group of half demons emerged from down the hall. Charging towards Ace. Sayyer's silver spoon quickly changes to a rod of office as he smacks Ace across the head, dazing him. Calix rushes to provide support as they attack the group.

From the barracks across where Oliver and Konguq stand groaning can be heard from behind the door. She orders Zim to open the door as she casts fireball on the room. More Devilfolk appear and the room is destroyed. However they remain unharmed and Zim is pinned. Oliver panics but casts Shatter on the remaining four, killing the group and freeing Zim. He begins to scale the walls preparing to ambush Sayyer.

Konguq commands Zim to eat Nimbles body to heal. She quickly joins the others to attack him. She moves the hazardous terrian to the stairs to slow the descent of other Devilfolk. Calix and Ace tag team and deal swiftly with the group that surrounds them. Sayyer tries to move past them towards the door but Calix pulls the 1-2 pin again and keeps him on the ground. Oliver having him right where he wants him drops from the ceiling and stabs him with his thinblade. Zim rejoins the group, now sporting vampiric features as he too goes to town on Sayyer. Other Devilfolk join to help their king, but are quickly dispatched. Konguq asks Sayyer about Brutus reminding him they were friends with him. Sayyer tells them that he is no friend of Brutus and asks if they know what he is. Konguq lies and says yes, Ace with confidence says yes, and that he sided the dandies. Sayyer within an inch of his life offers to negotiate with the party. Eyes fall to Ace as he agrees, but leaves the terms up to his captain, Konguq. The Devilfolk are called off and the party begins tense negotiations.

Sayyer wants to reclaim his throne, but Konguq worries about her deal with her now ally Chrysalis and having their relations go south. Sayyer offers to send a runner to her with Nimbles head, telling her the situations and that if he is King she will become the quartermaster. In addition they want him to stand against the Dragon Armies in the war. He’s hestitant to that since they are a powerful force to be reckoned with. Oliver however tells him that the wizards have made their stance against the armies and wouldn’t be there otherwise. He agrees to be their ally in the war, but Oliver wants more insurance that he won’t turn against them again. He offers to summon his contact Laxle, a demon Oliver recognizes.

In turn, they summon Skoragnit to be their liaison in this deal and to help heal Calix. Konguq summons her rather quickly and she is pleased to see Ace and Konguq again witht he new faces. Oliver goes to see Laxle be summoned. Skoragnit goes to work on Calix and he compliments her work on Lindvai which pleases the demon. She also heals Konguq from the wounds she sustained and Konguq recognizes how addicting Skoragnit’s work can feel. They ask her to help with the contract and she is happy to oblige.

Oliver follows Sayyer to the ovens and finds a summoning a circle carved into one. Oliver, jokingly, asks how that helps the food. Sayyer explains it’s to help lower the constitution of the king so he could fall to the poision that he planned to use on him. Laxle is then summoned, a small round imp man that serves no god and a master of deals. Oliver greets the imp warmly and informs him that they have a contact they want him to speak with to make sure the deal goes in their favor. Laxle looks at Skoragnit and refers to her as the “starving artist”. Oliver shrugs and tells him that she was attached to the elf they traveled with. The two demons begin to discuss terms in infernal, leaving the rest in the dark.

Due to the discomfort the language brings, everyone but Sayyer and Ace leave. The two talk of ruling and leadership. Ace impresses the old Beggar King, saying that they’ll make him a leader. Ace wasn't so sure of that and likes being the second in command. Sayyer smiles and tells him every king needs a vizier.

The demons finish and present the contract. Skoragnit says it’s a solid contract with no loop holes. Konguq reviews the contract and finds it to also be a solid deal. She signs the contract and before Skoragnit leaves, Konguq asks how Ryai and their group is. She tells them that Ryai has not reached out to her.

The Dandies prepare for the battle against the Ogre king. Sayyer hands Calix his rod of office and advises the group follow his lead into battle.
