Party
Konguq- Human Wizard Captain
Ace- Human Rouge, Quartermaster
Vodren-Human Cleric, Healer and Navigation
Bron- Dwarf Fighter, Master of Arms
Ryai-Elf Spellblade, Night Watch
The party meets in the Captain's quarters to plan out their search for Broud Half-Ogre to try and bring him along. Ace knows of a few fishing towns along the coast where they are headed. They also know North Keep is a major lighthouse and very Anti-Pirate.
They also know that Goodbay is where many pirates tend to gather and hang out. There are also rumors of a witch near it. However, the coastline between Goodbay and Ankatavaka used to belong to Southern Ergoth and has some older values.
They know for a fact that Broud is not in Porliost, known as an elven port.
The group decides to make their way to Goodbay, checking fishing towns along the way
On the way, the party performs its duties and spends its downtime.
- Ace assists Martle with getting used to the ship and doing his duties as Quartermaster. He notices that Necla is eating two
- Ryai does his rounds at night, checking that everything is secure. During his downtime, he spends time with Fallen Oak, which gets him to open up a bit about his past. He left his home around five years ago and has been working as a shiphand ever since. He joined The Dandy Rose because his previous captain wouldn't sail on Shallsea during the winter.
- Konguq performs her captain duties as expected. Ishter, however, isn't that great of a cook...
- Vodren attempts to pray to Habakkuk and bring peace between him and Zeboim. He can't establish a connection and instead nearly ruins the ship sailing for that day.
On day three, while sailing, a monster leaps on board, nearly taking out Vorlo. The crew springs into action and fends the beast off while the crew saves Vorlo from nearly drowning.
Vodren recognizes it as a Scrag, a type of water troll. After the encounter,, he warns the crew of other creatures to be wary of in the waters. Others include Sea cats, whales, dolphins, sharks, and giant lanternfish at night.
On the fourth night, during Ryai's patrol, he spots white egg shapes in the water moving closer to the ship. He shoots a warning shot, and they begin to advance rapidly. Ryai wakes Konguq, and the crew springs to action, fending the assault off. Once they come into view, it becomes clear they're Lacedons. Vodren notices that they're specifically Rumblegut's.The party fends them off, killing what was left of his Lacedons.
The final stretch to Goodbay is calm, with them pulling into port. Morris says he'll stay on board with Darvis. Darvis asks that Vodren keep an eye on Ciella, who is excited to explore the town. She unfortunately catches on, and Ryai offers to come with him. Betti also heads off with the two.
- Ace and Ishter go off to feed their vices and drag a poor Martle with them.
- Vorlo, Necla, and Fallen Oak go drinking.
- Lindvai and Bron head out together.
- Konguq and Vodren go to look for Broud.
Before Konguq gets off, she is asked by the Dock Master. He asks what we plan to do in Goodbay, and Konguq tells him they plan to restock and look for our friend. He takes the answer, and Konguq pays the docking fee. She then asks if he's seen or heard of a Half-Ogre, and the last the Dock Master heard was of one in Vakaze trying to get a ship. However, they wouldn't let him on, and he might still be in the bay.
Ishter, Ace, and Martle try to go to Ishter's favorite bar in Goodbay, the Shucked Clam. However, it's too early in the morning for it to be opened, so the three go off and look for breakfast instead. During breakfast, Martle expresses his concern for Ryai's desire to go after the dragon orbs, being (rightfully) afraid of dragons. Ace tries to assuage his fears over it, telling him that if there are any dragons, he'll warn him about them first. It seems to work.
Ryai, Ciella, and Betti also look for breakfast, and Ryai expresses his desire to find an owl to help him during his Night Watch duties. The trio then finds a not-great-looking place with a Gully Dwarf standing over a pot. Ciella and Ryai are initially hesitant, but Betti insists they try it. The two are very surprised and enjoy it quite a bit, especially after having Ishter's cooking for the past few days. Ryai jokes that they should just hire the Gully Dwarf, but Betti says that doesn't seem to be a bad idea. Before they leave, the Gully Dwarf points out Ryai's ears, reminding him to put his hood up.
Ryai then asks how Betti lost his arm, and Betti tells him an Ogre ate it. While they talk, Ciella grabs both of them and points out the aviary Ryai is looking for. Despite an unpleasant interaction with an emu, Ryai does learn where he can purchase an owl in Ankatavaka. As they leave, they notice Ciella is gone. Ryai insists on looking for her, but Betti takes off leaving him alone.
Vodren and Konguq go on the hunt for Broud and start at the Red Flag Inn. They enter and find two pirate crews staring down Bron and Lindvai with the flags. Konguq starts a bidding war between the two crews, eventually getting 550 steel for the set of flags purchased by Captain Shale Stoneship. Vodren takes a seat, talks with the captain, and shows him that the gods have returned. He asks the captain for information about the Bay Witch. The captain tells him about a set of ruins on a small island in the bay that might be associated with her.
Konguq speaks with the proprietor of the Inn, Orissa. She learns that while Orissa herself technically doesn't own the Inn, she does more than her husband does. Konguq asks about Broud, and despite Orissa's shifty nature, she learns that he was in Ankatavaka but was turned away. Konguq gives the woman five steel and unintentionally insults her. As the Dandy crew goes to leave, a Bakali leaps from under the bar and holds the door shut. Vodren tries to smooth everything over with calm emotions, but it has no effect on the Bakali, telling his mistress that she has been influenced by magic. Bron tries to brute strength their way out but caves into Bakali's endurance. The spell ends, and the Dandy crew is brought deeper into the Inn.
Ace, Ishter, and Martle return to the Shucked Clam and begin their Martle corruption crusade. Ishter plans to spend all her money on drinks and cards while Ace buys Martle his first mead. Ace and he talk some more over cards and the two bond over the idea that they both have no idea what they want from life anymore. The two join Ishter in the card game, but Martle can hardly concentrate on the clientele hanging around.

Ryai's search for Ciella ends up in a more luxurious part of the town. He is approached by a lady in a large fancy coat, asking if he is looking for someone. Not catching on to her intent, Ryai immediately starts describing Ciella, and she realizes that Ryai is actually looking for someone. Ryai finally catches on that he's talking to a prostitute, but she offers her assistance in helping him find his crewmate. He meets a few of her "colleagues," and they ask him about his corset, to which he replies he got in New Port. Eventually, he meets a man who mentions he got her a gig at the Shucked Clam performing. Ryai thanks the man and then takes off to the bar.
