Ryai and him finally reunited when Ryai came back to deal with Paladithel. While Ryai was nervous for his father's reaction, he welcomed his child back with open arms. He's offered his assistance with stopping the cleric ritual.

Used as leverage against Ryai by Paladithel, he was safely returned as the party heads to Pax Tharkis.

Vanthanoris made his presence known in the library of the Blue Cloak Manor where Ryai was stationed during the festival. Ryai attempted to avoid him, but he unfortunately grabbed him during a fire and the two had a very tense conversation. Vanthanoris set out to humiliate Ryai in front of his party but made the unfortunate mistake of underestimating the situation leading him to be captured.

Before they set off, Ryai asked what they planned to do with him. Cyrus made it clear that Crossing couldn't afford to lose another ally, and gave Ryai permission to decide. Ultimately, Ryai decided that Vanthanoris was too much of a threat and slipped into the manor on Gildember 21st and killed him

Upon the return to Qualinost, he has made himself the hero of the Qualinesti with his plan to sacrifice 3 dozen clerics to bolster the forest's defenses and taken control of the great tree. He has also made his way to the Speaker of the Suns side after the death of Princess Laurana.

After the deceit of Cyan Bloodbane, Broud offered to end him for Ryai. Ryai let him live to suffer the consequences of his actions

Once the Stray's found the Ka-nan princes, Laith attested to his crimes and is set to be a dark elf when found again.

Ryai's formal magic teacher, he specializes in fire magic and is quite knowledgeable about dragons himself. Despite the similarities, he and Ryai are not fond of each other.

He sided with Paladithel in the duel, believing in the ritual he presented until the deception of Cyan Bloodbane was uncovered.
