Konguq, Broud, and Zim all head off to the Wayreth library to try and study up more on Chimeras. When they arrive they are met with the a large amount of hustle and bustle. Konguq notices on the wall a tracker for all three of the moons and they all are set to be full. With all three moons full wizards are at their strongest and are all rushing to prepare for their biggest magic.

Despite the busyness of the library Konguq with the help of Broud is able to find some information to help with her questions about the chimera. First she looks into how one is made. She finds that one of the three parts must be alive, and usually it's the least threatening of the three. She then looks if the process can be reversed. And unfortunately no, it cannot. But if you kill the main head it will die.
Vodren and Vorlo decide to ask around about lighting magic weapons and find that they are barking up the wrong tree with the white robed half-elf they've been talking to. Jabbie catches them and pulls the two back into his office (broom closet) He asks the two about why they're asking for something like that and Vodren fails to lie about it. Jabbie is annoyed that his secret is getting out but directs them to the vault kept by a woman named Hrug Half-Ogre. Vodren says something off hand and Jabbie takes it as a chance to argue with the Cleric. Volro however chucks him out of the office (broom closet)
Ace decides to take time to reflect and tries to climb up Ladonna's tower this time. He gets pretty far up before he recognizes that it's covered in runes and decides that today wasn't the day to meet Mishakal in person. He instead finds a maple tree and takes some time to reflect. Next to him appears a squirrel made of fire and leaves.

Him and Callum a little curious about the fellow follow him to a little hole in the tree where the squirrel came from. While Callum interacts with the squirrel Ace reflects and realizes something. The last time they interacted with a part of Mishakal it was a white fawn. And 1/3 of the chimera is a white stag.
Ryai has to jump through some hoops to get to Justinian, but upon mentioning the Dragon Orbs he's able to get an audience with the red wizard. He enters his lab and finds the place covered in maps, notes, and books. Ryai smiles saying that the sight looks a little familiar to him, and Justinian invites him in to get the update.
- The black orb he knows very little about. It could either be in Thur or Taman Busk but the area is too large to narrow it down
- Green is in Silvanost. Unfortunately the Silvanesti fled and are claiming it's been taken over by nightmares and fog. Ryai considers interviewing the few that are still in Kharolis for more information.
- Feal-Thas has control over the white orb. It's how he's controlling his dragons
- Justarius knows nothing about red. Ryai says Rumblegut mentioned Palanthas
- Ryai knew more about blue than Justarius. Telling him about the Dimernesti that live near there that could possibly get them into Istar
Ryai thanks Justinian for the information and Justinian plans to make a visit to Palanthas to investigate the red orb. Ryai asks where he can get the sending spell and Justinian gives it to him, saying that it's one of the few ways he can pay Ryai back for the information he provided him.
The group reconvenes and they relay the information they've learned about the chimera. Vodren tells them about the lighting weapon and Konguq tells them about how the chimera was made and the fact that it can't be reversed. Ryai is pretty suspicious of the silver dragon portion since last he was told, none of them had appeared yet. No one knows why the dragons left, but only the chromatic ones have returned. Konguq also recalls the legend of the most famous Silver Dragon, Heart and her partner and lover Huma Dragonbane. With this story Konguq relay's they can shape shift.
With the moons going to be at their fullest, the wizards decide to do some work. Bron however, heads out without much of an explanation
Konguq goes to create a spell that despite the odds could separate the Chimera. As she plays with it she can tell it's not an easy spell to create, but knows what she needs to make it and has it held in her head. It won't work against the Chimera like she wants, but it will work. She can hold the spell in her head for the next three days.
Ryai with his visions and connection to Solinari, decides to try and get the timeline of events of what is going to happen to Qualinost.
- Qualinesti is already invaded and Qualinost will fall in 3 weeks if nothing is done.
- The first sacrifice of the Clerics will begin in 3 days
- Qualinost's future becomes uncertain afterwards.
- Bringing an Orb however will be a major turning factor.
Vorlo, Ace, Broud and Vodren hang out in the common room. Vodren and Vorlo get into a staring contest while Ace stands ready to knock him out in case he transforms into a Boar again.

After enough time has passed Vorlo doesn't change and the three men celebrate with handcrafted drugs. Before Vodren part-takes he gets in contact with Alaban. He checks in on him and Alaban replies that it's going well and that they have taken Long Ridge. He then gets in touch with Cyrus and while he scares the crap out him, he reports that he is not a vampire and that they are well, they fended off a ship. He cuts before he could say what was on it however.
The next morning they are treated to spicy eggs from Broud. Vodren thanks him but reminds Broud he can't eat eggs due to his oath. Zim eats Vodren's portion and expresses he doesn't like it. When asked what he would prefer he reacts positively to uncooked flesh and weirds Vodren and Ryai out. Konguq provides him with a dead chicken and he happily goes to town on it, giving the bones to Inevitable. Broud mentions Zim wasn't that aware yesterday and they wonder if the moons had anything to do with it. Ryai and Konguq go to Ladonna to get more information and Vodren and Ace go to get the lighting weapon.
Ace and Vodren make their way to the vault and find Hrug furiously trying to write in a journal. They go up to her and try to convince her to allow them to take out a weapon. They try to use their connection with Konguq and Ryai to try and get a lead but unfortunately they don't have anything stored in the vault. Without much other options Vodren is honest with Hrug. Slightly annoyed that she is still being bothered she allows them to swap Vodren's bow for a lighting short sword.
Konguq and Ryai head up to Ladonna's tower. Upon entering Ryai's sword suddenly appears next to him and drops to the ground. Ladonna tells him that only magic from her people are allowed in her tower, and that he shouldn't have the sword in the first place. Ryai rolls his and picks it back up. Ladonna looks extremely hungover drinking her morning wine. When they ask what's wrong she informs them that Bron and Beryl have disappeared. Around midnight the two disappeared leaving a large scorching burn mark in the forest that turned the trees to glass. Attempts to contact Beryl has only gotten them loud wailing screams. From the information alone Ladonna thinks they've gone to Pandemonium, the part of the Abyss where murdered souls go. Konguq tells Zim to get the others and he jogs. Ladonna looks surprised by the sudden movement from the Zombie, and when they inquire she tells them that she's never seen a Zombie revert once they've gained a new level of sentience.
The rest of the group arrives to the tower and informs them on the situation with Bron. They struggle with trying to choose between going after the chimera first or going after their missing crew mate. Ladonna is perplexed by the Chimera issue and asks who wanted them to go after it. Konguq stays silent at first. Ladonna attempts to cast detect thoughts on her but remembers they gave Ryai an amulet that blocks divination. She instead notices the the lighting sword on Ace's hip and points it out. She warns the group that there are a herd of centaur that violently gaurds the Scarlet Arbor where the Chimera lives. Konguq pissed Jabbie left that out tells Ladonna immediately it was him.
They try to consider their options on what to do. Konguq wants to get Bron back, but time doesn't work in the Abyss and they can't guarantee they'll come back at all. Konguq still wants to try but Ryai drops the fact that if they don't come back in time, they'll very likely lose Qualinost. The room grows tense as Ladonna questions how he knows and Ryai tells them he did some divination work during the Night of the Eye and that's what he saw. Ladonna summons the other leaders to discuss what's going on.
The other leaders are brought together and Ryai recounts his vision from the divination session he had. The situation grows dire as they discuss. Ryai concerned about the deaths of innocents on behalf of Qualinost, but they aren't sure they can meet the deadline. Ryai still wants to try and save Qualinost with the Dragon Orbs but is asked if he would still want to after the sacrifices start. He doesn't have an answer.
The situation around them grows dire Broud pumps up the group and tells them now is their chance to be heroes. Ace mentions that the whole scenario scares him, that they aren't ready yet. Broud reassures them they are, and that their story is worth telling. Reminding him that if it wasn't for them, he'd have very well died under the pillar they first met him at. Vodren pipes up that if he didn't leave he would have stayed a laborer is Solace. Ryai would have been forced to be someones bride, and Konguq wouldn't have been captain without everyone.
With everything going on they decide to finish the Chimera job first and figure out where to go from there. The Dandies make their way to Scarlet Arbor where it was last seen. When they arrive they are greeted by a large red tree surrounded by various plants, ores, etc. All valuable for spells. The lighting inside the woods is all blue, but there are lanterns that counter act it at the base of the tree. The party grabs a few, with Vorlo grabbing three. Broud says he'll wait at the entrance for healing them after.
It's not long after they enter that the Deartaur approach. They recognize the few that aren't wizard and say in Sylvian to each other to attack. Vodren tries to reason with them in Sylvian but they are resolute and shoot him. Ryai also tries to talk them down but they take aim at him as well, missing him. Konguq mentions the Chimera to them at they stop thier assault. She tells them that they're there to kill it and nothing else and the deertaur relent. They make them swear they take nothing and they take the lanterns from them, giving Vorlo a look when they take three from him. They tell the Dandies where it's made it's lair and warn it that it knows what a projectile is.
It doesn't take long to get to where it's hidden away and they start to plan. Ryai is to head up close with the darkness spell and begin casting magic circle on the ground around the entrance. The rest of the party trying to get to hiding places to attack. Ace cases out the best places and Konguq goes to attempt to hide, but is quickly found by the Chimera sparking an encounter.
Konguq being so far away the party's main objective is to get closer. Vodren runs up close enough to cast bane on the monster. Ace turns to Ryai and asks him to cast Darkness on his crossbow bolt to try and give Konguq cover but is too anxious about leaving his captain unguarded while Ryai tries to collect himself. He takes off and reaches Konguq. Vorlo waits telling Ryai to cast it on his rock. The chimera has it's eyes on still on all of them and the silver dragon preps it's breath weapon. Ryai casts Darkness on the rock and asks where to shoot. Ryai tells him the chimera. Vorlo wasn't sure but Ryai stands firm on his decision and Vorlo manages to lodge not only the rock but his entire sling in the antlers of the chimera. Now completely shrouded in darkness the chimera struggles. It unleashes it's breath weapon on no one as Ace hits it with his crossbow bolt. Mustering everything she has Konguq casts Lighting Bolt. The Chimera fails to prepare for the onslaught and is charred to bits.
With the chimera dead and fully separated from Konguq's onslaught. Ryai goes to investigate the Silver Dragon remains and finds that in it's blood, that it has residue of the celestial plane in it. The hatchling summoned here.
The deertaur return and Vodren tells them to at least wait until they've done the funerary rights for the separate parts to appease the gods. They allow it where Vodren does a ceremony and Ryai offers a prayer in draconic for the hatchling.
They head back to the tower, congratulating themselves on the absolute decimation of the beast. When they get back to the common room Jabbie is there tired and covered in fluid from the night before. They announce that they killed the beast and he congratulates them. Before he can leave Ryai steps up and says he has a few questions about the components of it. Jabbie scowls and tells him he owes him nothing since it was payment for Ace's armor. Ryai asks where he got the the dragon from. Jabbie goes cold and tells him to shove it before turning away. Ryai watches him for a moment, trying to figure him out before Vodren comes up and confirms Jabbie is hiding something. Ryai takes it as his chance and casts Aspect of the Moon, cutting Jabbie off from his escape. Jabbie reminds Ryai that he can't hurt him here.
Ryai agrees
He can't hurt him here

Jabbie relents but is still apprehensive about talking. Ryai offers that Jabbie steps into his office (bedroom) and they chat. The rest of the Dandies enter, and they have Zim and Marovie watch the door.
Once inside Ryai begins interrogation. He asks him where and how he obtained the dragon egg. Jabbie claims that he was doing work for the dragon armies and he got the egg from another black robe. Ryai asks him to describe the black robe and takes out his journal. Ace notices however that Jabbie seems to be making it up. Ace tells him that it's going to be a lot easier if he just tells the truth. He agrees only if they promise to come vouch for him with Ladonna.
They agree and he tells all. Jabbie did work for the dragon armies creating the Draconians for them. They used the metallic dragon eggs for it because the chromatic dragons won't give up their own. When asked how many they had, he said all. However when the grey robes appeared that's when things went south. Wizards who take their pride in their magic detest the grey robes who get their magic from Takisis. He was originally working at an outpost called Pax Tharkis when he left and stole the egg.
The group is disgusted and appalled by the revelation. Ryai recognizes Pax Tharkis. With his family's claim to fame as architects in Qualinesti they have the blueprints for the hold. When they comment that they're trying to avoid Qualinost, Ryai admits he would go home for something like this.
They go with Jabbie to Ladonna's tower again and the other two heads are summoned again. With the revelation of the gray robes in the war, Wayreth Tower joins the war.
